What We Do

Rady Children’s Hospital

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for Rady Children’s Hospital, through “Miracle Mile of Quarters”. MMQ is an annual gathering of all San Diego County Kiwanis Clubs and their sponsored Key Clubs. Junior Olympics

Annually, more than a thousand parents and students show up for the event  that  showcases the athletic and competitive spirit of all nine schools in the Santee School district.  Grades 4-8 compete in a variety of running and field events in what is always a great turnout of athletes and parents.  In addition to individual awards, grades 6-8 compete for the coveted Santee Kiwanis Team Trophy that recognizes the best school in competition.

Special Olympics

The Kiwanis Club of Santee is proud to have been instrumental in bringing the Special Olympics Southern California back to the City of Santee. This annual event takes place at West Hills High School.

Renaissance Experience

Santee Summer Knights in June of 2026 will be a three day event showcasing extraordinary talent and exhibitions of the medieval times. For more information, http://SanteeSummerKnights.com

College Scholarships

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for continuing education scholarships issued to graduating Santana and West Hills High Schools every year.

Key Club Sponsorships

Our Kiwanis club supports Key Clubs in both Santana and West Hills High Schools. We help them with service projects, facilitate the Key Club meetings, provide mentorship and provide college scholarships for the Key Club students.

Easter Sunrise Service

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Santee and sponsored by the Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, this annual Easter Sunrise Service is a non-denominational service with presentation and music from multiple religious communities throughout the Santee area.
